We are a group of guys who love to play music that glorifies Jesus Christ, our Lord. Our goal as a band is to worship the King not only with the music we make, but with our lives. As we travel we want to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to those who don't know Him, and as well to those who do. We understand that as much as we would like to think that we have everything figured out as followers of Christ... we don't. We need to hear the Gospel preached as well as any non believer. Not because we don't know it necessarily, but because we need to be reminded as Paul said for himself, “to live is Christ, and to die is gain”, meaning that when/if we die we gain eternity with Him, but in the meantime our lives are completely about Christ as we live every day as Sons for His Glory.
Jesus changed our lives when he gave up His for us. We now want to give up our lives for Him, and not only love Him with all we have, but love the broken; the lost; the poor; and the widows. We dedicate this band as a “worship band”, because we want our worship and music to be completely centered on Him. We also understand and hope others would understand, that while we can worship God through music, worshiping our Father does not end with just music. It is only a part of our worship of Him. It is our entire life that worships the Lord, not simply the words we sing, or the music we play.
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship”
 - Romans 12:1

All of us feel a calling as a band that 'newsound' be a tool to be used by God to help people focus their worship on Him through music. We would be honored and thankful if you would support us in our endeavors. If You would like to have us for an event, or service of any kind please visit our 'contact' page and fill out the required information. Thank you, and God Bless.

The Name

When we think of a 'newsound' we are reminded of the hope of Jesus' return to earth when he will fully redeem His children. Through the vision of John in the following passage from Revelation, a picture is painted when everyone and every living thing is giving praise to God in the end.
Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders.
In a loud voice they sang:
"Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength
and honor and glory and praise!"
Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing:
"To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and honor and glory and power,
forever and ever!"
 - Revelation 5:11-13

I suspect that when all of this happens we will all be hearing a glorious “newsound” unheard of by anyone until that time. All of it will be praising the father, and be only for Him. We want our music to be that as well; Music that unites Christians, young, and old alike, and inspires praise and adoration of our Heavenly Father.
